Dierks Bentley Gets High in Hollywood
Dierks Bentley brings new meaning to the term Mile High Club in his new video for “Drunk on a Plane.” The country star plays the parts of both himself and the pilot of a plane filled with young, beautiful people (well, mostly), including one guy headed on his honeymoon… without his bride. Drowning his sorrows in the whiskey provided by a busty stewardess, the jilted groom creates a “Mardi Gras up in the clouds,” complete with body shots, keg stands and a lot of lip locking.

“We added some of this footage to the screens [on my] tour, and I have a hard time not turning my back to the crowd to watch it myself… so many hilarious moments,” says Bentley, who is in the middle of his headlining Riser Tour. “There are a few subplots working underneath the main story that totally crack me up. If you watch it a couple times, you start to pick up on more funny details.”
Directed by Wes Edwards, the video was filmed at Air Hollywood, an aviation-themed studio where several TV shows and movies have filmed airport and plane scenes. “Drunk on a Plane” was the first country music video to ever make its debut on Funny or Die, the comedic website founded by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay.
