Nicki Minaj Hallucinates, Beheads the Game in ‘Pills N Potions’ Video
Pill-popping Pez dispensers, gyrating bunny rabbits and smoky, hallucinogenic clouds of pink introduce the video for Nicki Minaj‘s new ballad, “Pills N Potions.” But from the looks of select scenes in which she’s holding the decapitated, still-living head of her video boyfriend the Game and another where her leg grows hair suddenly, perhaps Minaj’s new “love the haters” philosophy is just a side effect of all of her pills and potions. Not that those druggy indiscretions explain the egregious product placement of a falling Beats Pill speaker a third of the way into the clip or the Game’s minor role in the video – but they do explain her taped nipples.

Previously, Minaj has said that the song is a good indication of where her upcoming album, The Pink Print, is headed, especially in terms of the tune’s storyline. “It feels very uplifting and it feels very soulful,” she told Rap-Up TV about the song. But overall, Minaj said that the album would fulfil a bigger mission for her. “The Pink Print will remind people why they fell in love with Nicki Minaj, and I think that needs to be done,” she said, apparently using the third person as a side effect of pills and potions.
In equally surreal, but all-too-real news, Minaj lately has had to address a lawsuit regarding “wig plagiarism.” A faux-coiffure designer whom she had once hired has claimed that the rapper had entered wig-related business agreements using his designs without giving him credit. Minaj’s lawyers say the $30 million claim is a result of the designer being “upset because he lost his most famous client,” according to The Associated Press.
