Boy George Unveils New ‘Feel the Vibration’ Remixes – Premiere
For the past 25 years, former Culture Club frontman Boy George has embraced dance culture and embarked on a second career as an in-demand DJ. So it’s fitting that for his latest album, 2013’s This Is What I Do, the UK singer has commissioned five official remixes for album closer “Feel the Vibration,” available to stream below.

“It’s a cool way to cross my album with what I do as a DJ and ‘Vibration’ was always the one that was going to work as a dance track,” George tells Rolling Stone. “As a DJ of 25 years, there is no way I could ever not have my say when it comes to picking the right remixers. Sometimes I wish I had a bigger budget, but that’s life! Only the best mixes ever see the light of day and I’m pretty good at picking the right people.”
As a “thank you to fans,” each track is available for download via Boy George’s Soundcloud page and features exclusive remixes by UK DJs Hoxton Whores and Roland Faber. In contrast to the original’s slow, dub-heavy vibe, the new remixes all look to the dance floor, retaining the song’s melody but augmenting the track with four-on-the-floor beats.
“A lot of people wrote me off over the past 10 years,” George told Rolling Stone earlier this month. “I can’t blame them – I would have written me off too, after all those car crashes I put myself through. ‘Oooh, there’s no way back from that little disaster.’ But I’ve always had an insanely optimistic streak, the part of me that says, ‘Things can’t stay as bad as they are now.’ It might be an Irish thing, I don’t know.”
