‘Man of Steel’ Sequel Could Include Wonder Woman, the Flash
When Superman faces off with Batman in the sequel to Man of Steel, they may have some company: the roles of Wonder Woman and the Flash are reportedly being cast, too.
Suggestions for Better Batmen Than Ben Affleck
The magazine reports that Gal Gadot (Fast and Furious), Elodie Yung (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) and Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace) are in the running for a female lead role described as “tall, brunette, athletic and exotic,” according to Variety. These descriptors fit Wonder Woman (though Variety sources say it could also describe a Bruce Wayne love-interest role). MTV reports that Jaimie Alexander (Thor: The Dark World) has hinted at having met with Warner Bros. about playing Wonder Woman, too.
Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman in the still-untitled sequel, and Ben Affleck will play Batman – news that sent the Internet into an anguished tizzy of hand-wringing when it emerged this summer. The superhero rumor mill suggests that the movie will also feature other members of the Justice League, Wonder Woman and the Flash among them.
Zack Snyder will direct the Man of Steel sequel, which is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 17th, 2015.
