Drake Disguises Himself to Interview People About Drake
Drake took to Hollywood Boulevard with a big beard, mop hairdo and thick-rimmed glasses to interview people on the street about, well, Drake. The priceless clip was a segment for Jimmy Kimmel Live’s “Lie Witness News.”
10 Reasons Drake Will Be The Best ESPYs Host Ever
The rapper asked pointed questions about fake controversies surrounding himself, including his refusal to acknowledge Caucasian athletes when he hosts the upcoming ESPYs, his “public urination in a Baby Gap” and his airing of a sex tape at a surprise performance at Coachella.
The hilarious responses included one man telling Drake that he’s a “chickenhead,” with another man commenting, “He says that he came from the bottom, which most likely he didn’t.” Drake even encouraged one of the naysayers to sing a diss song about Drake on the spot. (The acoustic ballad including poignant lyrics like: “Drake, hey, I think you suck/Maybe you can try and actually play an instrument, bro/Stop acting, you suck.”)
The best moment came when Drake was trying to reveal that it was, in fact, Drake doing the interviews, with one interviewee just not getting it. Finally, he removed the glasses and wig, pulled off the beard and watched as another interviewee freaked out.
The video was tied to this summer’s sports award show, taking place on July 16th in Los Angeles. Drake’s no stranger to the sports world: He’s a “global ambassador” for his hometown team, the Toronto Raptors and was seen repping the Kentucky Wildcats during the championship game of the NCAA tournament.
