Miley Cyrus’ Tongue Slide Leads to Lawsuit
Miley Cyrus‘ wagging tongue has become a sort of personal emblem for the pop star, but the appendage has now proved too much for one worker behind her Bangerz tour. According to TMZ, a man involved in the construction of a giant tongue slide prop has filed a lawsuit claiming he was injured on the job.

Cyrus has been making a grand entrance onto her Bangerz tour stage by sliding down the inflatable tongue, which hangs out of a massive projection of her own face. Charles Nicholas Sarris, who was hired to assist in the construction of the slide, says that he was badly injured last month when he fell after the “equipment and tools provided to him failed.”
Sarris is suing ShowFX Inc., the Los Angeles equipment supply company tasked with constructing the giant tongue, for unspecified damages. He says that the company didn’t warn him about the dangers involved in the job.
Sarris’ incident isn’t the first reported injury associated with Cyrus’ elaborately staged Bangerz tour. During the February 20th stop in Anaheim, California, opening act Sky Ferreira fell during her first song and cut her leg open. Although she finished her set unaware of the gash, she was hospitalized afterwards and received 60 stitches, according to Pitchfork.
Cyrus is bringing the Bangerz tour to Texas this weekend, with a stop in San Antonio tonight and one in Houston on Sunday.
