Panic at the Disco Get Racy, Recreate D’Angelo’s ‘Untitled’
Panic! at the Disco get sexy in their video for “Girls/Girls/Boys,” recreating D’Angelo’s iconic clip for “Untitled (How Does It Feel).” The track is from their new album Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die.
The original video premiered in 2000, where it received widespread attention for its risqué shots of D’Angelo’s nude, muscular body.
“‘Girls/Girls/Boys’ is such a racy song that it immediately made me think of one of the sexiest videos of all time, which also happens to be one of my favorites,” says Panic! at the Disco frontman Brendon Urie in a statement. “Doing an homage to D’Angelo’s classic video seemed like a perfect fit.”
Panic! at the Disco stayed true to the video shot-for-shot, displaying the tattoos on frontman Urie’s forearms as the camera stops provocatively above his waist. Urie smirks and gazes suggestively into the camera while softly singing the guitar-heavy pop song.
Panic! At the Disco will launch their Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die! Tour in January.
