London Grammar Find Their Way in ‘Everywhere You Go’ – Premiere
London Grammar’s “Everywhere You Go” unveils a previously unseen side of the British trio, who formed in a university residence hall and released their debut LP, If You Wait, earlier this year. The album – which featured the viral hit “Wasting My Young Years” – found the band blending trip-hop beats with ambient soundscapes and vocalist Hannah Reid’s huge, beautiful voice.

But on “Everywhere You Go,” one of the group’s earliest songs, the band is miles away from their known, electronic-based sound. On the previously unreleased track, Reid’s massive pipes are complimented by quiet, delicate instrumentation. Dan Rothman’s acoustic guitar and Dot Major’s muted percussion drive the rhythm.
“The naïvety of the recording is something we all still love,” Rothman tells Rolling Stone. “We never revisited the track, but it still has a place in our hearts, and reminds us of our first steps as London Grammar.”
