Will.i.am and Miley Cyrus Keep it Classy in ‘Feelin’ Myself’
What’s a Miley Cyrus guest spot these days if it doesn’t include the words “twerk” and “molly”? In the spiffy new clip for will.i.am‘s “Feelin’ Myself” (from the deluxe edition of his 2013 solo effort #willpower), pop’s reigning queen of doing whatever you want all the time oozes all sorts of nonchalant braggadocio alongside the Black Eyed Peas honcho, Wiz Khalifa and French Montana. Amidst a background of sharp, shifting digital shapes, the four stars keep it simple and boastful, with will.i.am getting his own cadre of clones to back him up on the dancefloor.
Will.i.am Stops by the Rolling Stone Photobooth
The new deluxe edition of #willpower drops today, and will.i.am is set for a characteristically busy next few months due to the November 29th release of Britney Spears‘ Britney Jean, on which he served as executive producer. “I would ask her questions about her trials, tribulations, relationships,” will.i.am recently told Rolling Stone about how the record came together. “Sometimes I’d write songs; some of them came from other people. But Britney wrote a lot of the songs.”
As for Cyrus, her quest for global domination continued during her recent appearance at the American Music Awards, where she offered up something far less scandalous (but no less ridiculous) than her performances at MTV’s European Music Awards and Video Music Awards: she sang “Wrecking Ball” with a giant kitten lip-synching on a screen behind her. Cyrus just released her chart-topping new album Bangerz, and she recently enlisted rising pop acts Sky Ferreira and Icona Pop to open for her on a massive North American arena tour, which kicks off next year.
