Boys Noize Gives ‘What You Want’ a Dub Remix – Song Premiere
Ahead of Out of the Black – The Remixes (which EDM favorite Boys Noize, a.k.a. Alexander Ridha, will release on February 3rd) comes this premiere of Jimmy Edgar’s dub treatment of the infectious 2012 cut “What You Want.” Culled from the Hamburg-bred DJ-producer’s upcoming collection of reworked material, the project counts tracks from his 2012 album Out of the Black that have been reimagined by everyone from Audion (Matthew Dear), Oliver and Housemeister to the Chemical Brothers and MMM.

“Jimmy Edgar is one of my favorite producers right now,” Ridha tells Rolling Stone. “On his remix he took the funk essence of the original and flipped it to a darker but club-friendlier banger. So killer!”
The album of remixes, which comes courtesy of Ridha’s Boysnoize Records, will also boast the Blood Diamonds’ reimagining of “Got It,” a collaboration with Snoop Dogg first performed live at Ultra Music Festival. An official music video starring the iconic rapper is also slated for release this month, in advance of Out of the Black – The Remixes.
Recently, Ridha captivated audiences during a run of high-profile shows, including New Year’s Eve gigs at L.A.’s Shrine Expo Hall and San Diego’s Sports Arena. On the heels of an engagement last weekend at Electric Holiday in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Boys Noize has booked a four-night stint at Holy Ship in Miami this Thursday-Saturday (January 9th-12th).
