Mark Wahlberg Swears His Way Through MTV Movie Awards
Mark Wahlberg knows how to do many things: convincingly play a 1970s porn star and a boxer, dance around in his underwear, and say “Not you! Not you! And not you!” in a think Boston accent. You can add “accept an award while swearing like a truck driver” to that roster, as Wahlberg gave a memorably profane acceptance speech while picking up an honorary “Generation” statuette at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards.

“I know what this really means…this is the ‘you’re-too-fucking-old-to-come-back’ award,” Wahlberg joked, cracking up the Entourage trio — Adrien Grenier, Kevin Dillon, and Jerry Ferrara — who presented him the award. “This is not the Channing-Tatum-you’re-dancing-around-chicks-want-you award. This is the you’re-fucking-done award. But look, it was a great run.” He then started thanking the people he’d worked with and noted how he’d gone from “Literally being incarcerated to having a one-hit rap career to having an underwear model career.”
Before jokingly telling a crowd member “Hey, shut the fuck up, I’ve gotta make Ted 2 and get my money right,” he went on to note how he was lucky to make an Entourage movie next year, be in a Transformers movie and be “married to this former supermodel, Victoria’s Secret model…I don’t know how the fuck that happened.” He then finished by giving a shout-out to boxer Manny Pacquiao and the fact that it’s Palm Sunday, which has to be an awards show first.
