Trey Anastasio Band Returns This Winter
Phish‘s Trey Anastasio will take a break from working on the band’s new album to hit the road this winter with his solo outfit, TAB. The tour kicks off with a two-night stand on January 28th at Denver’s Ogden Theater, and from there they’ll perform in the midwest and southeast. The run will mark the first time the band has played New Orleans since 2005, where they’ll do two nights at the House of Blues.
The New Immortals: Phish, Arcade Fire, Kanye West and More
Outside of Phish, 2013 has been a fruitful year for the guitarist. While the Broadway show he penned the music for, Hands on a Hard Body, didn’t fare well commercially, it did yield him three Tony nominations, including one for Best Original Score. He also performed with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center, where Phish numbers were given the classical treatment.

Recently, Phish wrapped a two-week east coast tour in Atlantic City, where they broke from their Halloween tradition of a “musical costume” to feature a new set of songs they’re recording for an album called Wingsuit. They’re set to play four sold-out shows during New Year’s at Madison Square Garden.
