Adam Lambert Says New Album Coming in 2014
Adam Lambert has had a crazy year, highlighted by a critically heralded headlining set with Queen at the iHeartRadio Festival, a recurring role on “Glee,” and a co-write on Avicii’s hit album…and marked by a split from his longtime record label, RCA. As 2013 comes to a close, Yahoo Music caught up with him in Yahoo’s Purple Room lounge before his performance at the TrevorLIVE concert in Hollywood on Dec. 8, to talk about the year’s highest highs and what’s in store for him in 2014.
Most importantly…will there be a follow-up to 2012’s Trespassing album next year? “In theory, yes,” said Adam, who has been collaborating with Nile Rodgers and Avicii and says he’s currently talking to labels. “If not, something is seriously wrong!”
But before the album is out, Glamberts will have something else to look forward to: Adam’s long-rumored Darkness cover on “Glee,” which marks a virtual reunion of sorts between Adam and the Darkness’s Justin Hawkins, who wrote Adam’s For Your Entertainment track “Music Again.” See Adam talk about that, his “Glee” run, his 2014 plans, and his favorite 2013 music, in this special year-end catch-up interview!
