Steve Aoki’s Wild ‘Electric Zoo 2013’ – Exclusive DJ Mix
Steve Aoki and his label, Dim Mak, are gearing up for a huge Electric Zoo weekend in New York, and the DJ-producer is getting his mind right with this wild “Electric Zoo 2013” mix. Aoki keeps hard-hitting drops a priority, but offers dancers a chance to catch their breath with a set of varied dynamics and tempo changes. Aoki’s pummeling remix of Dirtyphonics’ “No Stopping Us” rolls into the shifty, disorienting piano samples of Proxy’s “9000.” Later, Showtek’s titanic elastic bounce on “Slow Down” transforms into the echoing claps and glimmering synth chimes on Etienne De Crecy’s remix of Yolanda Be Cool’s “Sweat Naked.” Aoki makes sure the fun comes in all shapes and sizes.
