Linda Ronstadt’s Road to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Linda Ronstadt's incredible career dates all the way back to the mid-1960s when she fronted the Los Angeles folk-rock group the Stone Poneys. They scored a big hit with a cover "Different Drum" (written by future Monkee Mike Nesmith), but Ronstadt soon left the group for her own highly successful solo career – landing hits on the charts with "You're No Good," "When Will I Be Loved" and many others. In 1972 her backing band struck out on their own, calling themselves the Eagles. In later years, she turned towards Spanish music and tracks from the Great American Songbook. She recently announced she's unable to sing due to her ongoing battle with Parkinson's Disease. Here are photos from throughout her career.
