Andy Samberg Marries Joanna Newsom
Andy Samberg and Joanna Newsom have tied the knot. The Saturday Night Live alum and harp-playing singer-songwriter were married on Saturday in Big Sur, California, Us Weekly reports.
Samberg and Newsom got engaged last February after dating for five years. The Lonely Island goofball had been a fan of Newsom and frequented her shows before the pair were introduced by mutual friends.

This month has already jumped off to a big start for Samberg, whose new cop comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine premiered last week. Newsom, whose most recent album was 2010’s three-disc Have One On Me, is rumored to have a role in Paul Thomas Anderson’s next movie, Inherent Vice. She also appeared last year on Portlandia.
In a recent interview with Glamour magazine, Samberg said that he and Newsom have talked about collaborating musically. “But we’ve decided ultimately that her fans would probably murder me in my sleep,” he said. “What she does is so, like, actually beautiful and important.”
