Krist Novoselic Plays on New Modest Mouse LP
Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic plays on Modest Mouse LP. The bassist told Spotify in a recent interview that the new album is “pretty edgy,” Insterstate-8 reports.
“I’ve got my big Gibson bass and a Rat distortion pedal busting out . . . this bass riff,” he said.

Fans have been holding their breath for a follow-up to 2007’s We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank LP. The band released an EP in 2009, No One’s First and You’re Next, in 2009 and have remained relatively silent ever since, though the band canceled a summer tour in Europe and the United Kingdom to work on the new album.
“We do appreciate our fans and promise that we will make it up to you next year,” read a post on the band’s website.
The band began playing new material earlier this year, including a song called “Be Brave” at Coachella. A title for the album has yet to be announced, but Modest Mouse hope to release the new album by next year.
