Chief Keef Ordered to Spend 90 Days in Drug Treatment Program
A Chicago-area judge ordered Interscope rapper Chief Keef into a 90-day drug treatment program on Wednesday, according to DNAInfo. Keef, who is on probation following a variety of offenses over the past two years, was taken in to see the judge after failing two drug tests. A judge determines today whether or not he should be held in a guarded facility, according to the Chicago Tribune. It’s currently unclear if he will be returning to jail after his drug sentencing.

Keef reacted to the sentencing on Instagram yesterday afternoon. He posted a screenshot of a text message that read, “Judge Putting me Back in jail See y’all later.”
Although the rapper released the Bang Part 2 mixtape in September, he spent a reported eight days in jail in October after failing a drug test. He had tested positive for marijuana in May when security at a hotel where he was staying smelled it coming from his room and notified the police. He was also arrested that month for trespassing. The next week, he was arrested again, this time for driving 110 in a 55 miles-per-hour zone on the Edens Expressway north of Chicago. “That’s a fast car,” he told police of his BMW X6 M, according to DNAInfo. “That’s why I bought it.” Following that eight-day stint last month, he ordered to serve 20 days in Cook County Jail’s Cermak Hospital but was released early.
In January, Keef was put in jail for violating 18 months of probation he was serving after being convicted of “aggravated unlawful use of a weapon” for pointing a gun at Chicago police officers. That arrest followed an arrest last October when a video shot by Pitchfork depicted him firing a semiautomatic rifle at a New York shooting range.
