Ciara’s See-Through Dress Shocks at College Football Championship
It seems like whenever Ciara gets involved with football, something ridiculous happens.
Prior to Monday night’s College Football Playoff Championship Game between Alabama and Clemson, Ciara performed the national anthem. As if her version of the song at the MLB All-Star Game didn’t make it crystal clear, she can really sing (duh). But it seems some folks out there couldn’t appreciate her vocal chops because they were too busy focusing on her outfit.
Or, more specifically, what her outfit was lacking. You see, some people thought Ciara’s dress was too revealing for the occasion – like former ESPN reporter Bonnie Bernstein, who opined that she needed to “cover up” because kids were watching at home. Some agreed with her hot take, while many didn’t. And of course there was a select group of people who accused Bernstein of racism, because apparently that’s what happens when you talk about anything on the Internet.
“Dear Ciara,” Bernstein tweeted. “You’re stunning. But this is a National Championship Game. Kids are watching. Cover up.”
Not surprisingly, Ciara’s boyfriend – Seattle Seahawks’ quarterback Russell Wilson – had a different take. Shortly after Bernstein got the Internet fired up, Wilson chimed in and complimented Ciara on her getup and rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
I see you baby!! Sounded amazing & looked flawless in every way! @Ciara #NationalChampionship pic.twitter.com/0buuntOFvF

Of course, that should’ve been that. But take one peek at Wilson’s mentions, and you’ll see this whole thing continued on and on. Oh, and you’ll probably lose faith in humanity, too. The Internet, man.
