Cam, Eric Church Lead Best Country Songs of 2015: The Ram Report
While not all of the entries on Rolling Stone Country‘s 25 Best Country Songs of 2015 received the same amount of radio airplay, they each made an impact in their own way.
Cam‘s “Burning House” advanced female artists at country radio, Eric Church‘s “Mr. Misunderstood” proved there was much more to the Chief than swagger and Chris Janson‘s “Buy Me a Boat” introduced the energetic performer to the masses.
Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Kip Moore and LoCash also land on the countdown, along with Americana standout Jason Isbell. And, as he’s appeared on other major lists, from Albums of the Year to Country Collaborations, it’s no surprise that Chris Stapleton also makes a strong showing, coming in at Number Four with “Traveller.”
With “Burning House,” Cam scored her first Number One single, topping the Mediabase chart before year’s end. She’s poised to do likewise on the Billboard system after the charts reopen in January.
