Watch Hannibal Buress Explain How Donald Trump Is Like a Rapper
Having trouble differentiating between the 19 men and women currently pursuing a bid to become president of the United States? Comedian Hannibal Buress is here to help. In a new video from Fusion, Buress explains who each of the candidates is in a manner we can all understand: by comparing them to rappers.
“Hillary Clinton would be Diddy because she’s done some stuff that some people like and some people hate, she’s super rich, and she got super famous by attaching herself to one of the all-time greats,” he says. (Of course, Bill Clinton is Hillary’s Notorious B.I.G. in this analogy.)
Jeb Bush, he says, is aspiring rapper Chet Haze, the son of Tom Hanks and brother of Colin: “His dad made it, his brother made it, but he’s just some shitty rapper that wants to say the N-word.”
So how, exactly, is Donald Trump like DJ Khaled? “Loud, arrogant, kind of corny. They both have catchphrases,” Buress explains. They both have a keen sense for cross-promotional opportunities, too: Where Trump takes any chance to plug his business enterprises on the campaign trail, Khaled’s new “Gold Slugs” music video does double duty as an advertisement for his Miami restaurant Finga Lickin.
