Watch Lanco’s Rooftop Performance of ‘Long Live Tonight’
The five gentlemen of new country band LANco have released a one-of-a-kind live video of their single “Long Live Tonight” that was filmed on a rooftop in Austin, Texas. The performance is part of an Audience Network special called “LANco: Live from Austin” that
The group, led by vocalist Brandon Lancaster, excels in the live environment bringing a high-energy and interactive performance style with them to tour stops. Their self-titled EP, which was produced by Jay Joyce (Eric Church) and includes “Long Live Tonight,” was released in April. With its chiming guitars and lyrics about living in the moment, the song feels tailor-made to rally crowds, whether it’s from a rooftop or in a tiny club.
“When we’re playing for people, it really doesn’t matter if it’s 15 or 15,000,” Lancaster tells Rolling Stone Country. “But if we’re in front of a crowd, we want to be engaging, and energy is a big thing with us. We are aware that everyone has the whole world in their pocket nowadays, on their cell phone. You’re competing against a cat video when you’re up there onstage playing music. We want to be a part of what’s going on. I want to jump in the crowd and be up close and personal with people.”
Lancaster and his LANco mates — Chandler Baldwin, Jared Hampton, Tripp Howell and Eric Steedly — will be in Nashville to play the free Music City Gives Back concert on June 6th, as well as an intimate Tin Roof gig on June 9th.
