Iggy Pop, Josh Homme Plot ‘Post Pop Depression’ Tour
Iggy Pop and Josh Homme will take their surprise partnership on the road this spring with a 20-date tour in support of their forthcoming LP Post Pop Depression. The trek kicks off March 28th at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre and visits historic venues throughout North America and Europe.
On the album, Pop and Homme were joined in the studio by Dead Weather guitarist Dean Fertita and Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders. The quartet will receive some additional firepower on tour, adding Queens of the Stone Age/Failure guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen and Chavez’s Matt Sweeney on bass to the lineup.
Fans can score pre-sale tickets with the password “Gardenia” starting Thursday at 10 a.m. local time. Check Pop’s site for on-sale information.
Post Pop Depression arrives March 18th. Pop and Homme have unleashed a pair of the new album’s nine songs, the punk-funk “Gardenia” and the vintage Pop cut “Break Into Your Heart.”
