Action Bronson to Serve Up ‘F–k, That’s Delicious’ Cookbook
Hip hop and food aficionado Action Bronson will publish a cookbook, Fuck, That’s Delicious: An Annotated Guide to Eating Well in fall 2017 via publishing house Abrams.
The book will mix recipes and memoir, with Bronson sharing memories of food and cooking alongside stories from his life on the road. Bronson famously worked as a chef in New York City and began rapping after he broke his leg in the kitchen. His songs are packed with elaborate gourmet references that sit alongside equally outlandish hip-hop braggadocio.
Fuck, That’s Delicious will also feature graphic art, illustrations, food and backstage photography, storyboards from Bronson’s music videos and scans of handwritten lyrics. Food writer Rachel Wharton will serve as a co-writer.
Bronson’s book shares its title with the rapper’s Anthony Bourdain-esque travelogue show, in which he samples grub around the world, examines local food trends and customs and cooks with renowned chefs in between tour stops. Fuck, That’s Delicious began as a web series for Vice and recently premiered as a half-hour program on the new Viceland channel.
Amidst all his food-related ventures, Action Bronson continues to record. Last December, he wrote on Twitter that a new album, The Human Highlight Reel, was slated to drop in 2016. The album will follow his major label debut, 2015’s Mr. Wonderful, as well as a trove of mixtapes and EPs.
