Watch ‘Daily Show’ Turn Donald Trump Boasts Into Rap Song
The Daily Show has chopped up and repackaged some of Donald Trump‘s more boastful campaign trail quotes, gaffes and promises into a hip-hop track called “They Love Me,” performed by Black Trump (or Daily Show correspondent Roy Wood Jr.) and his hype man Jordan Klepper.
The video finds the rapper and Klepper living the Trump life, partying at golf courses and mansions while spouting some of the mogul’s greatest sound bites. “I have a great relationship with the blacks / Politicians all talk and no action,” Black Trump says. I was down there at 7/11 / I spent almost nothing on my run for president / All the women flirted with me on The Apprentice / If Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her / We have to have wall / Don, who’s doing the raping?”
The video features the lyrics at the bottom of the screen along with the date in which Trump’s comments were made. “They Love Me” also highlights the many times Trump has contradicted himself over the years by juxtaposing quotes like, “Nobody has more respect for women / Heidi Klum, sadly, no longer a 10.”
With the mogul inching toward locking up the Republican presidential nomination, expect Black Trump to have a continued presence on The Daily Show this election season as a new website and social media accounts have been created for the character.
