HBO: ‘Game of Thrones” Jon Snow Is Definitely….
Ever since Game of Thrones‘ Jon Snow was repeatedly stabbed by members of the Night Watch in the Season 5 finale in a bloody coup as they screamed “for the Watch!,” fans have speculated how the show favorite could possibly be revived. Would he lead the army of White Walkers? Would he be resurrected by Melisandre’s powers?
Whatever the conspiracy theory, nearly everyone was in agreement that the role played by Kit Harrington, one of the few remaining favorites of the series quick to kill off characters, would be missed. Like Jon Snow, however, it seemed we didn’t know much. Now HBO has confirmed Snow’s fate. An official statement in its synopsis of Season 6 states in no uncertain terms: “Jon Snow is dead.”
The press release also reveals that Daenerys “meets a strong man” and Cersei “sees her daughter again,” but it’s the knowledge that Snow is indeed a goner that will certainly stoke the conspiracy fires — especially since photos of Harrington appearing on set have surfaced and he hasn’t cut off his curls. So will we see more Harrington this season? We’ll have to wait until April 24th when the first episode of Season Six debuts on HBO to find out.
