Watch Rapper K-os Get ‘Another Shot’ in New Video
Canadian rapper K-os has debuted his self-directed video for new single “Another Shot.” The track appears on his sixth studio album, Can’t Fly Without Gravity.
In the clip for the indie rock-tinged alt-rap track, K-os shuffles between solitude in a church and a night at a bar with friends. Between those two locales, the rapper shows off his guitar skills both outside of the church and in a forest.
“This was the last song added to my album,” K-os tells Rolling Stone. “I wanted a song that featured my singing because I haven’t really done that on record in a while.”
The bar scene in the video is similar to the way he wrote the song’s chorus. “Having some drinks at the studio with some of my dudes, I just kept singing the line ‘I need another shot’ over the music and they thought it was hilarious — so I kept it. That night, I went on Instagram and saw a girl I used to know being genuine, and I thought ‘Oh wow, I wish I had another chance to hang out with her again, or another shot.'”
Can’t Fly Without Gravity is up for Best Rap Recording at the Juno awards against Drake and other Canadian talent. The award ceremony takes place in April.
