Kesha Thanks Fans With Short New Song
Kesha‘s lawyer Mark Geragos shared a brief clip of the pop star singing a new track thanking fans for their support during her legal battle against Sony and Dr. Luke. Kesha was denied an injunction to break her recording contract with the producer and Kemosabe label owner at a hearing in New York last week.
“A special thanks to everyone who has had her back,” Geragos tweeted along with the name of her fandom (“animals”). The self-recorded clip shows Kesha singing with an off-camera guitarist. “I don’t know what I would do, without you,” she begins in the short song. “I don’t know where I would be, without,” she continues before the video cuts out.
Kesha and Dr. Luke have been in an ongoing legal battle for years, stemming from the singer’s allegations that the pop producer drugged and raped her as well as inflicting years of emotional abuse that led to an eating disorder and stint in rehab. Dr. Luke has denied all charges.
