Ariana Grande Releases ‘Dangerous Woman’ Album
Ariana Grande released her third studio album, Dangerous Woman. The follow-up to 2014’s My Everything, the 15-song set includes the previously released singles “Dangerous Woman” and “Into You” alongside song collaborations with Macy Gray, Nicki Minaj, Future, and Lil Wayne.
Leading up to the release, the singer answered fan questions about Dangerous Woman, taking over Vevo’s Twitter account earlier on Thursday before the album’s release that night. During her #AskAriana Twitter session she announced that there will indeed be a tour, but did not reveal further details. The singer also unveiled that the next video she will premiere will be “Into You.” Although she didn’t specify a release date for the clip, she did give some insight into the storyline. “It’s about love … and life!! And how the little things are so much more important than the big bougie façade,” she tweeted.
When asked about the album art and the bunny mask she’s wearing on the cover, the singer explained, “I feel like DW is a heightened super version of myself, so I wanted her to have a costume. The shot caller/boss.”
Grande also discussed her collaborators. She explained why she and Wayne were laughing at the end of the “Let Me Love You” video, which is available via Apple Music. “Contact high, it was a long scene,” she said of their filming. Grande also tweeted that it was “an absolute honor” working with Macy Gray on “Leave Me Lonely.” She added, “That voice is legendary and timeless and she’s the coolest.”
Beyond sharing her Wayne and Gray collaborations in recent weeks, the singer previewed additional Dangerous Woman tracks, including the Nicki Minaj-assisted “Side to Side” and “Everyday” with Future. Earlier in the year she debuted the video for “Dangerous Woman” and premiered “Be Alright” live during Saturday Night Live.
Dangerous Woman is available for download via iTunes now.
