Country Stars Strike Out Cancer: The Ram Report
Raelynn will arrive at the 26th annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball game armed with tips from some of her adopted hometown’s best. The singer-songwriter joined the Nashville Sounds for practice this week, in preparation for the big June 7th game she’ll play alongside several fellow country stars. [See a photo from practice below.]
Joining the petite powerhouse for the fundraising event are Vince Gill, Chris Lane, Scotty McCreery, Bret Michaels, David Nail, Jamie Lynn Spears, Lauren Alaina, Danielle Bradbery, Jessie James Decker, Mickey Guyton, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson, Locash, Tristan McIntosh, Jake Owen and former Major League Baseball pitcher Barry Zito. The players will be split into teams representing the Grand Ole Opry and iHeartCountry.
The City of Hope game is the unofficial kickoff of CMA Music Fest, which begins two days later and features literally hundreds of country stars performing all over downtown Nashville. The game’s namesake charity helps provide treatment for those suffering from cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening illnesses. Tickets to the game are still available here.
