Hear Jason Aldean’s Muscular New Single ‘Lights Come On’
Jason Aldean has flipped the switch on his new single “Lights Come On.”
The guitar-heavy rocker, the first single from the Georgia native’s forthcoming album, is a high octane ode to his fans who work hard during the week so they can party hard with Aldean and his band on the weekend.
“This song is all about that rush you can only get from stepping on stage and listening to fans sing along to every word,” said Aldean, of lyrics that celebrate making memories and breaking rules over a fist-pumping arena backbeat.
The singer-songwriter will premiere the song on this Sunday’s ACM Awards on CBS, where he is competing in the Male Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year races. The latter contest finds him facing off against Eric Church, Garth Brooks, Miranda Lambert, and show co-host Luke Bryan.
Aldean’s seventh album is due this summer and in the meantime he is on the road with his We Were Here tour this spring with upcoming dates in Uncasville, Connecticut; Erie, Pennsylvania; and Columbia, Maryland.
