‘Game of Thrones’: See Sansa Stark, Khaleesi in Season 6 Clips
Jon Snow may be dead, but that doesn’t mean that anticipation for Game of Thrones – which returns Sunday, April 24th – isn’t reaching a fever pitch, with the latest trailer providing more dragons and intrigue. But plenty of fan favorites of the ensemble cast are definitely returning, including Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Alfie Allen, Diana Rigg, Natalie Dormer, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, John Bradley, Isaac Hempstead-Wright, Conleth Hill, Jonathan Pryce and Gwendoline Christie. In advance of the series premiere, HBO released three teaser clips that give a taste of what’s going on with three pivotal female characters.
First, Sansa Stark – who escaped from her cruel marriage to Ramsay by jumping from the walls of Winterfell – is seen running through snowy Westeros with Reek (a.k.a. Theon Greyjoy). Then, we get a revealing glimpse of Daenerys Targaryen as she marches through the desert and is greeted by one of her subjects: “Welcome home, Khaleesi.” Finally, Cersei and Jaime Lannister are seen in an intimate, yet morbid, moment, with Cersei asking, “Do you remember the first time you saw a body?” And Jamie responds: “Mother.”
