Watch Charles Bradley’s Soulful ‘Ain’t It a Sin’ on ‘Conan’
Soul legend Charles Bradley performed his commanding track “Ain’t It a Sin” on Conan, from recent LP Changes. Backed by the Extraordinaires, the 67-year-old singer brushed off his slickest James Brown moves, bringing the audience into a frenzy.
Bradley talked to Rolling Stone this month about his raw new album, the title of which is a cover of Black Sabbath’s song “Changes.” “Right now, I don’t see a stopping point ’cause I don’t see no place where I can stop at and rest in peace,” Bradley said.
“But I know that from doing shows for the public, the love when I go out into the audience and hug ’em and the things that they say to me personally … It’s not only me onstage doing it. I open their hearts up and they feel the love of my heart and when I go out there and really respond to ’em and talk to ’em, they tell me some things.”
