Watch Conan O’Brien’s Glammy, Over-the-Top K-Pop Video
Conan O’Brien and The Walking Dead‘s Steven Yeun become K-Pop stars in J.Y. Park’s insane video for “Fire,” filmed during the comedian’s recent South Korean episode of Conan.
The clip opens with the duo daydreaming at their boring office job. “Hey Steve, I really need to have some fun tonight,” O’Brien says. “How do you say ‘Where’s the party?’ in Korean?” In a celebratory state of mind, they journey to Park’s glammy lair filled with flaming guitar necks. O’Brien guzzles some magic K-Pop potion and becomes a superstar himself, teaching Park how to master the trademark String Dance.
The hilarious video is highlighted by flaming skulls, a crew of K-Pop backing dancers (including the Wonder Girls and TWICE) and Park being woken up from a stupor by O’Brien and Yeun creepily whispering, “Wakey Wakey!”
O’Brien’s Korea episode, which aired Saturday, followed a string of international programs in Cuba, Armenia and Qatar.
