Watch Shirtless Zac Efron, Seth Rogen in Raunchy ‘Neighbors 2’ Trailer
The highest-grossing live-action film of Seth Rogen‘s career, 2014’s Neighbors introduced audiences to Mac (Rogen) and Kelly Radner (Rose Byrne), first-time parents who went to war when Teddy Sanders (Zac Efron) and the rest of his wild fraternity moved in to the house next door. Now, Universal has just dropped the first trailer for the comedy’s sequel, this summer’s Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising.
Picking up where the original left off, Sorority Rising flips the script by proving that Greek life doesn’t discriminate when it comes to disturbing the peace. When frustrated undergrad Shelby (series newcomer Chloë Grace Moretz) decides to start a party-hard sisterhood, she and her two best friends move in to the house next to the Radner’s has been recently abandoned. “Maybe it won’t be that bad!” Mac tells his unamused wife. “Girls are usually quiet, they don’t take hard drugs, and they’re much smarter.”
Cue binge-drinking, clumsy pole-dancing, a passed-out sorority sister in the back of Rogen’s car (who finds time to flip him the bird before flying out his front windshield), and the kind of hedonistic chaos that makes Spring Breakers look like Sesame Street. “We need someone who can relate to stupid young people,” Rogen’s character says. And so he turns to Teddy, his former nemesis, for help in purging his neighborhood of the greatest threat its ever known.
Ike Barinholtz and Dave Franco are among the supporting actors who are set to reprise their roles, while new members of the cast include pop star Selena Gomez and street comedian Billy Eichner. Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising opens on May 20th.
