Keith Urban on All for the Hall Benefit: ‘Awareness Is Key’
Keith Urban announced the lineup for this year’s All for the Hall benefit concert, the regular fund-raiser for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. With artists from Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line to Jason Isbell and Emmylou Harris onboard, the show — slated for April 12th at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena — is one of the most diverse All for the Halls in its history. Urban calls the concerts “a labor of love” and views them as vital to preserving country music’s legacy.
“It’s really important work what they do here at the Hall,” Urban says. “Bringing attention to it is really important, raising money for it is important as well. Bringing attention and awareness to it is key.”
This year’s theme is “Mashville: The Music City in 2016” and illustrates the broad scope of today’s country — the radio-ready party anthems of FGL butt up against Isbell’s introspective ballads. Once again, Vince Gill and Urban will oversee all the performances, serving as onstage musical directors.
Tickets for All for the Hall go on sale Friday, January 29th.
