Fall Out Boy Plot ‘Wintour’ Trek With Awolnation
Fall Out Boy will head out on a winter tour – or “Wintour,” as the band calls out – this February when the “Uma Thurman” crew hits the road with Awolnation for 20 shows. “Wintour is coming. This will end the story. It will give us all the chance to work through it and become who we are supposed to be,” bassist Pete Wentz said of the trek.
The Wintour, which kicks off February 25th in San Juan, Puerto Rico, will be highlighted by Fall Out Boy‘s March 4th gig at New York’s Madison Square Garden as well as a March 12th hometown show at Chicago’s United Center. A fan club pre-sale starts October 14th, while general public tickets will become available starting October 16th; check out the Fall Out Boy official site for complete on-sale information.
In addition to the Wintour, Pete Wentz revealed that American Beauty/American Psycho‘s opening track “Irresistible” will be issued as a single Friday, but in a new version featuring Demi Lovato. “‘Irresistible’ always felt like it could become something else, something exciting, strange, beyond,” Wentz wrote on his Medium. “I think Demi Lovato has one of the most powerful voices today. So we worked through an afternoon and she just got it. Excited for you guys to hear this new version of the song on Friday.”
