Watch Trump’s Very WTF New Hampshire Victory Speech
Well, it happened. Republican voters did what many of them have been threatening to do for months: They cast actual, not-joke votes for Donald Trump, in a real-life primary.
It wasn’t just few a few rogue, radical, fringe New Hampshirites either. An overwhelming majority of New Hampshire conservatives — men, women, voters without a college degree, voters with a college degree, conservatives, moderates, first-time voters, repeat voters, registered Republicans and voters with no party affiliation — delivered Donald Trump his first victory decisively.
Trump took home 35.2 percent of the vote — more than double his closest rival, John Kasich, who ended the night with 15.8 percent.
He earned the right to gloat, and gloat he did in a rambling, self-congratulatory 13-minute speech that only rarely featured complete thoughts.
“You started it,” Trump told New Hampshire voters. “Remember, you started it.”
Yes, New Hampshire, you started it. Remember, you started it.
