Amy Schumer, Seth Rogen Hint at Boozy Campaign in Super Bowl Ad Teaser
Amy Schumer and Seth Rogen appear poised to skewer the 2016 election during the Super Bowl. Fans of the duo got a glimpse of what is to come in a teaser for the Big Game beer spot, “The Bud Light Party.”
In the 30-second trailer for the forthcoming commercial, Schumer suits up in Spanx, pantyhose, and pearls, while Rogen preps with pantyhose, talcum powder, and a snack. They crack a couple of frosty Buds, and assure the other they’re “ready.”
Ready for what? You’ll have to wait until Super Bowl 50 on February 7 to find out.
Though she is not seen in the teaser, media reports and Instagrams suggest the commercial will also feature a third star: UFC fighter Ronda Rousey. The Daily Mail spotted the trio filming the Bud Light Platinum commercial — reportedly dreamed up by the advertising agency Wieden + Kennedy — in Los Angeles earlier this month.
Anheuser-Busch hyped the ad in a statement to the St. Louis Post Dispatch. “This is more than just a Super Bowl ad,” Bud Light’s vice president Alexander Lambrecht told the newspaper, “it’s a completely new communication of what Bud Light stands for – inclusivity, positivity and fun.”
