Hear Ariana Grande Join Ex-Boyfriend Nathan Sykes on ‘Over and Over Again’
Former couple Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes have teamed up to turn Sykes’ piano ballad “Over and Over Again” into a romantic duet. The pair last paired in 2013 for “Almost Is Never Enough” off Grande’s debut album Yours Truly.
“Over and Over Again” is the second official single off Sykes’ as-yet-untitled debut solo album, due this year. “It’s such a special song to me, and I’m delighted that I’m able to share this with not only a friend of mine but also somebody who is incredibly talented,” Sykes said in a statement.
The ballad shows a softer side of the singer, whose Eurodance boy band the Wanted is currently on hiatus. He has previously released two other tracks off the LP, single “Kiss Me Quick” and lounge-y track “More Than You’ll Ever Know.”
During his time in the Wanted, his duet with then-girlfriend Grande was his first solo venture and also introduced him to songwriter and producer Harmony Samuels, who co-wrote both duets as well as much of Sykes’ upcoming LP.
Grande will be releasing her third album, Moonlight, this year. In December, she treated fans with a surprise Christmas mixtape titled Christmas & Chill.
