See Florence and the Machine Cover Beatles Classic in Paris
Florence and the Machine wrapped up their tour in support of How Big How Blue How Beautiful Tuesday with a concert at Paris’ Le Zénith, where the band reflected on the terror attacks a month earlier during the encore with a cover of both the Beatles‘ “All You Need Is Love” and Eagles of Death Metal‘s “I Love You All the Time.”
Florence and the Machine‘s take on “All You Need Is Love” was an earnest, folksy rendition that focused on the brassier elements of the Magical Mystery Tour track. After the Beatles cover, Florence and the Machine were joined onstage by the Maccabees to try their hand at performing the Eagles of Death Metal’s “I Love You All the Time” live for the first time; the two groups previously provided a cover of the Zipper Down track as part of EODM’s “Play It Forward” initiative.
After spending much of 2015 on their How Big tour, Florence and the Machine will have a few months off before embarking on a weeklong South American tour in March. In addition to a pair of smaller European jaunts, Florence and the Machine will return to the U.S. for slots at Gulf Shores, Alabama’s Hangout Festival in May and Dover, Delaware’s Firefly Festival in June.
