David Nail Talks Touring With Twins: The Ram Report
“It’s been an amazing year on so many fronts,” David Nail told Rolling Stone Country on last week’s CMA Awards red carpet. “I’m really looking forward to closing out 2015 out on the road and spending the rest of it figuring out how I’m going to change a diaper.”
Make that, lots of diapers. Nail and his wife, Catherine are expecting twins next month — a boy and a girl. The country singer will spend the holidays at home with his family but now has to plan out the 2016 juggling act of fatherhood and the inevitable travels that come with promoting his upcoming album, Fighter.
“For me, the biggest thing is going to be the guilt of leaving home,” he says. “You have a job to do but at the same time you feel like you’re kinda missing out on all these things. . . Maybe I can just work two days a week instead of four and maybe even figure out a contraption where we can bring them out on the road.”
Fighter‘s release date has not yet been revealed but will likely be in the first quarter of next year. The live video for the album’s first single, “Night’s on Fire” will premiere during ABC’s Saturday Night Football game this weekend — Oklahoma vs. Baylor.
