Watch the Kansas City Royals Blast Jimmy Kimmel With Paintballs
It’s not easy being a Mets fan. Just ask Jimmy Kimmel.
Feeling good about his Mets after they manhandled the Dodgers and Cubs, Kimmel made a friendly bet on the World Series with Kansas City native and Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet. Rather than doing what normal people do by putting money on the table, though, they spun the “Wheel of Terrible Bets” and ended up with the worst option of them all: Whoever lost had to climb into a bounce house get shot with paintballs for a full minute.
Once his Royals took a 2-0 series lead, Stonestreet began warming up his trigger finger and perfecting his aim to hit Kimmel where it hurts most.
The Mets were gracious enough to extend the series to five games before keeling over, which bought Kimmel an extra day to brace himself for the hell Stonestreet was about to unleash. But rather than enjoying the moment by himself, Stonestreet invited a trio of Royals – Jeremy Guthrie, Drew Butera and Mike Moustakas – to make Kimmel pay for doubting them. Seth Rogen also popped off the couch to help out, as did Guillermo.
While Stonestreet cut the time from one minute down to 30 seconds, it didn’t stop six grown men from firing plenty of shots and sending Kimmel scrambling for cover. It didn’t help.
“I’m gonna tell you something: That was unbelievably painful,” Kimmel said. “I will show you tomorrow night on the show, I’ll show you all the marks.”
Better luck next year, Jimmy.
