David Duchovny on Folk-Rock Project: ‘For Me to Sing Live Is Insane’
He's best known for his starring roles on The X-Files, Californication and, most recently, Aquarius, but David Duchovny isn't just an actor. Earlier this year, he released his first-ever rock & roll album, Hell or Highwater, which we described as "likable, lyrically tart, vaguely Wilco-ish." For the latest episode of the Rolling Stone video series "Off the Clock," we met up with Duchovny before his show at New York's Webster Hall to find out what drives him to make music and to risk it all singing onstage in front of screaming fans of his acting work. It takes cojones, and as Duchovny laconically admits, "I'll say that about myself — I have balls."
