Watch Bloody New Trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Hateful Eight’
Three months after we got our first glimpse of Quentin Tarantino‘s The Hateful Eight, the Weinstein Company has dropped a second trailer for the Kill Bill director’s epic new Western.
“Now what would make a man brave a blizzard and kill in cold blood? I’m sure I don’t know.” It’s a few years after the Civil War, and John “the Hangman” Ruth (Kurt Russell) is transporting a feisty fugitive named Daisy (Jennifer Jason Leigh) to the noose in Red Rock that has her name on it. After picking up a bounty hunter (Samuel L. Jackson), John and Daisy duck inside a massive log cabin to seek shelter from a snowstorm, only to discover that the place is filled with various ne’er-do-wells, which the trailer introduces with title cards (The Sheriff, The Mexcian, The Cow Puncher). “No one said this job was supposed to be easy,” Russell growls through the pipe in his teeth.
The Hateful Eight kicks off a limited 70mm roadshow release on December 25th before it opens wide on January 8, 2016. The film has been threatened with boycotts from various police organizations due to Tarantino’s comments at an anti-police brutality rally in New York last month.
