Don Henley Unveils ‘Cass County’ Fall Tour, Bonus Tracks
Don Henley has mapped out an autumn tour in support of Cass County, the Eagles drummer’s first solo LP in 15 years. After finally wrapping up the Eagles’ two-year History farewell tour in late July, Henley will head back out on the road starting October 3rd at Phoenix’s Comerica Theatre. The 16-date tour will conclude November 12th in Philadelphia. Visit Henley’s official site for ticket on-sale information.
Henley recently spoke about his country-inspired solo LP, which features guests like Mick Jagger, Dolly Parton, Miranda Lambert and Merle Haggard. “I’m associated with California a lot because of that other band that I play in, but I really and truly was born and raised in Cass County, Texas,” Henley said at a private listening party in Nashville in June. “I’m a Southerner and a Texan. I have ancestors in Tennessee, Mississippi and Georgia. So this is a natural progression for me. It’s not me trying to do the ‘Don Henley country album.’ It’s who I am and where I come from.”
In addition to plotting out his fall tour, Henley also revealed the four exclusive tracks that will feature on the deluxe edition of Cass County: “Too Far Gone,” “The Brand New Tennessee Waltz,” “She Sang Hymns Out of Tune” and “Too Much Pride.” Fans who purchase tickets to Henley’s tour will also receive a deluxe CD copy of Cass County.
