Watch the Terrifying Comic-Con Trailer for ‘Walking Dead’ Season 6
Walking Dead fans, prepare yourself for a nice, long look at Season Six.
During the show’s Hall H panel at the San Diego Comic-Con today, AMC dropped a new, juicy four-minute trailer for the series’ upcoming sixth season. The clip starts right where last season’s finale left off, with Rick Grimes having dispatched of an abusive member of the Alexandria community and his old neighbor, Morgan, showing up at the compound’s doorstep. From there, it would appear that all hell breaks loose: zombie herds roam freely, heads get lopped off, one unlucky and unidentified person gets group-chomped, several new enemies make cameos and hints are dropped that Rick will be fighting a war on many fronts — including a stand-off with…Darryl?
Dead-heads who worship at the altar of Norman Reedus’ hick badass will have a lot to chew on here, as the trailer shows him standing up to Andrew Lincoln’s battle-weary sheriff, fighting off a number of walkers, showing off his signature scowl and, near the end of the clip, facing down a renegade group of wanderers who’ve tied him up. “Here”s the deal,” the lead bad guy says. “You don’t say shit, and I don’t kill you.” “I ain’t who you think I am,” Darryl replies, before a rapid montage shows him brandishing his crossbow, avoiding walkers and running through the woods.
The Walking Dead‘s sixth season will premiere on Sunday, October 11th with an extended 90-minute episode. We can’t wait.
