Watch Mark Wahlberg, Fallon Shoot Each Other in the Head on ‘Tonight’
Jimmy Fallon, the master of making celebrity guests look silly, enlisted Ted 2 star Mark Wahlberg for a game of “Headshots” on The Tonight Show, which found the duo attempting to shoot random items off each other’s heads. As usual with Fallon games, the whole thing feels improvised and a bit scattered, but everyone in the studio gets a kick out of watching objects explode in slow-motion.
Walhberg tests his aim by smacking Fallon in the face mask, and he earns his first point by smashing up a bowl of ping-pong balls. (“My balls dropped,” the host cracks, after a few tip out the side.) Fallon struggles early on, whiffing on two attempts to knock off a bowl of popcorn – though he does connect with a fish bowl full of Fruity Pebbles after Wahlberg says a silent prayer.
The duo attempt to settle the score in a bonus round worth “1,000 points,” firing at Eiffel Towers figurines. Fallon hits the target but, in a display of “Headshots” sportsmanship, declares the contest a tie.
Wahlberg also sat down with Fallon to discuss the comedy sequel Ted 2, which finds the actor co-starring opposite a CGI stuffed bear voiced by the film’s co-writer/director, Seth MacFarlane. Despite Fallon’s best attempts to prevent a spoiler, Wahlberg breaks down a cameo from New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. “We try to steal Tom’s sperm in his sleep because we want to create the ultimate baby for Ted,” the actor says, describing a scene that Fallon predicts will be “one of the most talked-about scenes, maybe in the history of any comedy.”
