Seth Rogen, Bill Hader, Zach Galifianakis Set for Sci-Fi Comedy
Seth Rogen, Zach Galifianakis and Bill Hader will venture through the final frontier in the upcoming sci-fi comedy, The Something, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The movie tells the story of a team of astronauts who encounter another ship after being stuck in space for several years. The Something was written by Rodney Rothman, who penned 22 Jump Street and Grudge Match, and will also make his directorial debut with the film.
Rogen and Hader have previously appeared in a handful of projects together, including Pineapple Express, Knocked Up and Superbad, in which they played a pair of incompetent cops. Both also made uncredited cameos in 22 Jump Street and lent their voices to the upcoming R-rated animated comedy, Sausage Party. The Something, however, marks the first film project either have done with Galifianakis.
Along with The Something, all three actors remain busy as ever. Rogen’s Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising — which he co-wrote and stars in — is set to open May 20th, while Hader voiced a character in The Angry Birds Movie and is also set to appear in Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of Roald Dahl’s The BFG.
As for Galifianakis, the comedian’s new show Baskets, which he stars in and created with Louis C.K. and Jonathan Krisel, recently premiered on FX. This year he’ll also appear in Keeping Up with the Joneses, Tulip Fever and Mastermind; he also voiced the Joker in The Lego Batman Movie.
