Watch ‘Game of Thrones’ Star Kit Harington Judge Jon Snow Imitators
Jon Snow’s dramatic eyebrow lifts and grumbled ruminations are perfect for the war-torn land of Westeros, but does that acting style hold up in mundane situations? Kit Harington, who plays the Game of Thrones fan favorite, stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday, evaluating a series of Snow impersonators as they read lines from cereal boxes, real estate listings and shampoo bottles. Watch the hilarious results above.
The first impersonator, Scheiffer from Wales, gets into character by reading the ingredients of Frosties. “Did you know every Kellogg’s Frosties Flakes starts as a grain of corn – grown in a farmer’s field where it’s nice and sunny?” he intones. He saves his most intense reading for the climax: “May contain traces of peanut.”
Charlie from Sherman Oaks, California gives an intense description of a local property, detailing the “open floor plan” and “backyard perfect for bird-watching – and watching the squirrels play.” (Harington commends him for his strong eyebrow game.) Steve from Ottawa closes out the line-up by reading a bottle of Pantene. “Did you know that protein loss makes hair vulnerable to damage?” he asks, making an innocent query sound like an ominous threat.
Harington also reflected on the intense Game of Thrones battle scene with the White Walkers, after Kimmel marveled at its epic scale. The actor explained that the 20-minute sequence was filmed “over 25 days,” comparing the exhausting shoot to one of his recent film roles, which took one day less. Harington also notes about how scary it is to eat lunch across from one of the monstrous humanoids. “They’re not CGI or anything,” he says. “As you see them on the show is as they are on set.”
